WHAT IS SMALL BUSINESS SEASON?

Small Business Season is not just a campaign; it's a movement to support the backbone of our communities.

Small Business Season is a chamber-industry marketing campaign created to help small businesses worldwide thrive. Small businesses need more than one day focused on them. They need an entire season! That’s why this year we are encouraging chambers of commerce, neighbors, business owners, and community leaders to support the call to action to "Do Something Big and Shop Small this Small Business Season".

Small Business Season can be used as a stand-alone campaign or to work with other buy local programs you are already doing.

WHO IS SMALL BUSINESS SEASON FOR?

Small Business Season is for anyone wanting to support local small businesses in their community. We encourage any and all chambers of commerce and their members to participate. The more we share and reinforce the message, the stronger the message is.

HOW TO PARTICIPATE IN SMALL BUSINESS SEASON:

  • IMAGES:
Share Small Business Season on social media platforms, newsletters, emails. Choose to have Small Business Season logo printed on fliers, posters, vinyl stickers, etc.

  • EDUCATION:
Educating your community about the importance of shopping small and shopping local.
  • ENCOURAGEMENT:

WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING

I loved the stuff you provided last year (thanks for the tweaks Norma). A good chunk of our businesses still have the posters in their windows. We have one in our window, and I have one framed in my office signed by the Gov., and the secretary of WEDC, and our 2 local representatives who were here last year to kick off the States shop small campaign.

I am all in for this new idea

Melissa Martinez, Director, Washburn Area Chamber
